After successful certification, the student can then apply for employment at a variety of different health care facilities. CNAs are overseen by Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) and Registered Nurses (RN) as well as other health care professionals. Paramedic to Registered Nurse (RN) For Paramedics who have a official and unhampered Arizona or National Paramedic Registry Certificate and have completed a minimum of 12 moths of consecutive paramedic work in the past three years, MCC offers the Paramedic to RN program. Admission to this program requires some prerequisite course work, and students should check with a nursing advisor at MCC to ensure that all pre-requisite work has been completed and/or will transfer before applying to the program. After successful completion of this program, students will be eligible to apply to take the NCLEX-RN in order to obtain the professional title of Registered Nurse (RN) and seek employment with the title. Completion of the course does not guarantee that the student is eligible to sit for the exam.
